Super Sonic guitar build - Part 1
I have gotten the bug to build a guitar. I do not play the guitar. I still have the bug to build one. I have chosen to build a copy of the Squier Super-Sonic for some reason. Mainly because it is a bit odd. It is a Fender Jazzmaster 'upside-down', or left-handed. I picked up a maple neck blank and a fretboard made of Granadillo.
I bought a template but have not used it. I didn't want to use it for my first guitar knowing that I will make some mistakes.
The template kit came with two options for the neck. A Stratocaster style headstock and the Super Sonic. These are vinyl stickers that you can place on your template material. Very Nice.
I ended up printing someI found online and spray glued them to some 1/4 inch masonite.
All cut out and ready to be finnish sanded.
I need to get some sort of drum sander to get the inside curves smooth and to the line.
